2 DevCom alumni pass bar exam

Two alumni of the university’s AB in Development Communication program passed the 2010 bar examination whose results were released by the Supreme Court recently.

The two new lawyers are Apolinario Caymo II who finished his DevCom course in October 2003 and Margaret Castillo who graduated in April 2005.

Caymo who hails from Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, earned his law degree in San Beda College while Castillo who comes from Cabanatuan City studied law in University of Santo Tomas.

Castillo is a legal researcher at the Justice Serafin Cuevas Law Office.

While studying in CLSU, Caymo was a founding member of the student organization Communicators for Development or CODE where he owns the credit of writing the CODE Constitution and By-Laws. After graduation, he worked for more than a year at the Philippine Rice Research Institute.

Castillo was among three DevCom interns who spent their on-the-job training at the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction in Silang, Cavite.
