Prof. Dr. Sofronio P. Kalaw, a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and currently the Director of the Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development is serving as a member of the Regional Quality Assessment Team in Biology of the Commission on Higher Education. Prof. Dr. Kalaw, who earned his Ph.D. in Biology from De La Salle University in Manila, evaluates the capability of the different higher education institutions in Central Luzon in offering the BS Biology program.
